Achnagairn Castle - Your Exclusive Highland Home
Nestled just outside Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, Achnagairn Castle is a stunning historic estate set within 30 acres of formal gardens, woodland, and riverbank walks. The castle sits on a site with roots dating back over 400 years, and its current neo‑Victorian structure was completed circa 1812, welcoming exclusive use guests since its restoration in 2008.
Exclusive Use & The Essence of Staying
You rent the entire castle, not a hotel suite, so it’s yours and yours alone throughout your stay. You are free to settle in as you would in your own home.
Please note: this is not a full service hotel. Housekeeping is discrete; expect privacy instead of constant staff presence. Bedding and towels will, however, be refreshed once mid-stay.
Each Room Tells a Story
Every room is distinct in style, layout, and bed configuration, from cosy singles to queen‑and‑twin family suites, and some even feature four‑poster beds. Bathrooms may be ensuite, adjacent, or private depending on the room.
Room size and bed setup (e.g. two twins, queen + twin, or single) vary and pricing reflects this. Larger or more unusual rooms command a premium, while smaller twin rooms may offer better value.
Shared Spaces & Features
Grand reception rooms include a wood‑panelled drawing room, library, and a vaulted ballroom with a minstrel gallery fit for ceilidhs, dining, and evening gatherings.
Additional amenities include a home cinema, sauna, and table tennis room for relaxed group entertainment.
The estate features landscaped gardens, lawns, woodlands, and a river trail ideal for exploration or simply soaking in the Highland surroundings.
